Using the Document URL field

The Document URL field in the Document Designer side menu contains a generic URL for the current document design. The URL looks something like this:

http://resource.n200.lan/document/#visitor_code#/12abcde45k6

The part #visitor_code# is a dynamic field (see also Dynamic Fields). If you replace this text with a valid visitor code, you get a link to that visitor’s e-Badge.

When you insert the full document URL (including the dynamic field #visitor_code#) in an email template, Visit automatically replaces the field with the recipient's visitor code as soon as you send the email (see Email Templates).
