Create a shop product

This task is only relevant for advanced shops, not for simple shops. See Simple shop vs. advanced shop for more info.

Before you start, read Building your shop. This will help you choose the best order in which to create the different parts of your shop.

1. On the Dashboard, select Event > Shop.

2. Select the Products tab.

3. Click Add new product. The Product details page appears:

   

4. Enter a Product name.
5. In Total available, enter an amount, or select unlimited.
6. Leave Voucher on None. This is only used for ticketing (see Create a ticket product).

7. Enter the VAT rate and Price excl. VAT or Price incl. VAT, as applicable.

   You can override the final product price in the shop item details. See Create a shop item.

8. Enter a Title and Description for each translation. Registrants cannot see these – they only see the titles and descriptions of shop items.

9. Do not select This product grants access to the event. This is only used for ticketing (see Create a ticket product).

10. Click Save.

To make a shop product appear in your shop, you must add it to a shop item. Read Create a shop item to learn more. If you are setting up a ticketing event, now is also a good time to Create a ticket product.
